See your remnants and roll ends

What does this do?

Every usable offcut left after a cut is kept as a remnant with its own width, length and area, so you can see what odd pieces you have to sell without walking the racks.

How to use it

  1. Open the ☰ menu and choose Stock Management.
  2. Scroll to the Remnants list. Each row shows Product, Width, Length, Area m² and Colour.
  3. A remnant is created when you enter a Usable remnant offcut (m) while cutting from a roll on the till.
  4. For pieces being ordered in whole rather than cut from stock, open 🧾 Cut list and look under Orders / roll ends.

A cut is made from the till, so the customer's receipt, the roll's remaining length and the offcut are all recorded in one go. Stock Management then shows the shorter roll and lists the offcut as a remnant.

A mistyped length, a roll entered twice or a roll that has been damaged can all be put right without breaking the stock history. Changes are recorded as movements, never erased.

Add a carpet or vinyl roll to stock

Every roll you hold is recorded against the product it belongs to, with its width, length, cost and where it sits. Once it is in, the till can cut from it and Stock Management shows what is left.
