Edit, move or remove a roll

What does this do?

A mistyped length, a roll entered twice or a roll that has been damaged can all be put right without breaking the stock history. Changes are recorded as movements, never erased.

How to use it

  1. Open the ☰ menu, choose Stock Management and press Edit on the roll's row.
  2. Correct the Roll number, Colour / dye lot, Width (m), length left or Cost £/m² as needed.
  3. To move it, pick a new Location. The move is booked as a transfer between the two places.
  4. Press Save changes. A changed length is written up as a stock-take correction.
  5. To take the roll out of stock altogether, use Take this roll out of stock: choose a Reason (Entered in error / duplicate, Damaged / unsellable, Returned to supplier, or Used up / no longer have it) and press Remove roll.
  6. Confirm the prompt. The roll stops showing on the till and in stock; past sales cut from it are untouched.
