Install PlanIt on your phone, tablet or computer

What does this do?

PlanIt installs from the browser as an app with its own icon. It then opens full screen, keeps working with no signal and can notify you when a customer accepts or pays. There is nothing to download from an app store.

How to use it

  1. Sign in at app.planitflooring.com in Chrome on Android or a computer, or Safari on an iPhone or iPad.
  2. Open Settings → 🎨 Company Info / White Label. The 📲 PlanIt app on this device card is at the top (it is also on Products & Pricing).
  3. On Android or a computer, press Install app and confirm the browser's prompt.
  4. On an iPhone or iPad, press Show install steps, then tap the Share button, scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  5. Open PlanIt from its new icon from now on. The card will say Installed when you look at it from the app.
  6. When a new version is released, a message says A new version of PlanIt is ready. Press Update now to switch to it.

Auto-save and syncing between devices

There is no save button for an estimate. Everything you type is saved on the device as you go and sent to your account in the background, so the same job appears on your phone, tablet and shop computer.

Turn on notifications for opened, accepted and paid quotes

The bell in the top bar tells you when a customer opens a quote, accepts it or pays a deposit. Turn on push notifications and your phone is told the moment it happens, even with PlanIt closed.

A fitter's first sign-in and installing PlanIt Fitter

There is nothing to download from an app store. The fitter opens the link in their invite email, sets a password and adds PlanIt Fitter to their home screen so it opens like a normal app.

Add your logo and brand colours

Your logo and colours go on every quote, fitter sheet, the login screen and every export. Pick a preset theme or your own colours, then save. Branding only sticks when you press Save Branding.

Help & Support opens an email to the PlanIt team. A real person reads every message. Use it for anything Ask PlanIt cannot answer, or when something looks wrong.
