Add bank details for deposits

What does this do?

Add your business bank details once and PlanIt shows them to the customer on the acceptance screen, together with the deposit amount and a payment reference. UK accounts use a sort code and account number; Irish and other euro-area accounts use an IBAN.

How to use it

  1. Open Products & Pricing (step 3) and scroll to Payment & Deposit Settings. Tick Enable Deposit Request if it is off.
  2. In Online Payment Setup, choose 🏦 Bank transfer only (or 💳+🏦 Both if you also take cards).
  3. Set the Default deposit as % of total or fixed £. A quote that sets its own deposit uses that instead.
  4. Under Business bank details, enter the Account name.
  5. For a UK account choose Sort code & account no. and enter the Sort code (6 digits) and Account number (8 digits). For a euro-area account choose IBAN and enter the IBAN and optional BIC / SWIFT.
  6. Set the payment reference pattern if you like. {REF} is the quote reference and {CUSTOMER} the customer name, for example {REF}-DEP.
  7. Press 💾 Save payment setup.
