Update your company details on quotes

What does this do?

Company Details are what customers see at the top of every quote and email: your name, trading name, address, phone, email, website and registration numbers. Change them once and every new quote uses them.

How to use it

  1. Open ⚙️ Settings from the sidebar and stay on 🎨 Company Info / White Label.
  2. Under Company Details, fill in Company Name, Contact Name (who quotes come from), and Trading Name if it is different.
  3. Add your Address, Phone, Email and Website.
  4. Add your VAT Number, Company Reg No. and, if you have one, FCA Number.
  5. Optionally add a Tagline / Subtitle and a Welcome Message for the top of your quotes.
  6. Press 💾 Save Branding.

Your logo and colours go on every quote, fitter sheet, the login screen and every export. Pick a preset theme or your own colours, then save. Branding only sticks when you press Save Branding.

Set up your quote email template

The Quote Email Template is the subject and message PlanIt pre-fills every time you press Send Email. Write it once with placeholders and every quote goes out with your wording and the right customer details.

Change VAT / tax rate, currency and country

Pick where you trade and PlanIt sets the currency, tax name, tax rate and date and number formats in one go. Every one of those can be overridden if your business needs something different.

Turn VAT on or off and set the rate

VAT Settings control whether VAT is added to the quote and at what rate. Untick it if you are not registered or the work is zero-rated, and the quote shows plain totals with no VAT line.

Add your company details and logo

Your company name, logo and contact details print on every receipt, quote, invoice and statement, and brand the customer portal. Set them once and every till in the shop uses them.

Accept updated Terms & Conditions at sign-in

When PlanIt publishes a new version of its terms, you see an Updated Terms & Conditions screen the next time you sign in. Read what changed, agree, and carry on; it takes a few seconds and only happens when the terms actually change.
