Clear a sale and start again

What does this do?

Clear sale empties the basket and the customer details so the till is ready for the next customer. Nothing is recorded.

How to use it

  1. On Sale / Till, press Clear sale at the top of the Basket.
  2. Confirm with Yes, continue when asked "Empty the basket and clear customer details?".
  3. To remove just one line, use the delete control on that basket row instead.
  4. A sale that was already paid cannot be cleared. Open it in History and use Refund or Void.

Voiding says the sale never happened. Its stock goes back, it comes out of every total and report, and it is filed under Deleted receipts. Use it for a sale that was rung through wrongly and no money changed hands; if the customer has paid, use a refund.

Customer & job details record who the sale is for, what the job is and when it is needed. A fitting date puts the job straight in the Diary; flooring with no date waits in Customer Orders.
