A fitter's first sign-in and installing PlanIt Fitter

What does this do?

There is nothing to download from an app store. The fitter opens the link in their invite email, sets a password and adds PlanIt Fitter to their home screen so it opens like a normal app.

How to use it

  1. What your fitter does: they open the invite email on their phone and press Set your password and sign in.
  2. On the Set your password screen they enter a New password of at least 8 characters, repeat it and press Save and sign in.
  3. After that they sign in at fitter.planitflooring.com with Email and Password. Forgotten your password? then Send reset link emails a new link if they forget it.
  4. To install: they press the ☰ button top right and choose 📱 Install PlanIt Fitter on this device. On an iPhone or iPad the menu shows the steps instead: Share in Safari, Add to Home Screen, Add.
  5. The app then opens from their home screen. Jobs are saved on the phone, so they still open on poor signal.
  6. If a fitter sees "This sign-in doesn't have fitter access yet", check they are on your fitter list under Settings → Fitters — job portal and press Invite to portal on their row.

A fitter you invited can start their own PlanIt account with the same login. It is completely separate: their own customers, quotes and branding, which you cannot see and which is not affected if you remove them from your fitter list.

Get before and after photos from your fitter

Fitters take before and after photos in the app and they land on the sale in your till, tagged BEFORE or AFTER with the time and any note. They upload in the background, even from a house with no signal.

Make after photos optional, recommended or mandatory

You decide whether a fitter can complete a job without after photos. Set a shop-wide default and override it for individual fitters, for example mandatory for subcontractors and optional for your own team.
