Notes from the fitter back to the shop

What does this do?

A fitter can send a note from any job, for instance that the hallway needs more floor prep, and it is filed on the sale in your till with the time it was sent.

How to use it

  1. What your fitter does: they open the job, scroll to Notes to the shop and press 📝 Add a note.
  2. They type the note in the Add a note for the shop box and press Send note. The app confirms "Note sent to the shop".
  3. When they finish the job, the Complete this job screen has a Completion notes box for anything you should know, such as "Customer advised not to walk on floor for 4 hours".
  4. On the till, open the sale and look at 👷 Fitter activity. Notes appear under FITTER NOTES with the date and time, and completion notes are shown with the completion.
  5. Notes written with no signal are kept on the phone and sent when it reconnects.

Notes keep a dated record of what was said. Follow-ups are the same but with a due date, and they show up on the till the day they are due so nobody forgets to ring back.

A fitter starting their own PlanIt account

A fitter you invited can start their own PlanIt account with the same login. It is completely separate: their own customers, quotes and branding, which you cannot see and which is not affected if you remove them from your fitter list.

There is nothing to download from an app store. The fitter opens the link in their invite email, sets a password and adds PlanIt Fitter to their home screen so it opens like a normal app.
