PlanIt Estimating · Adding Rooms & Measurements
Import rooms from a sketch or photo
What does this do?
Photograph your survey sketch or an estate agent's floor plan and PlanIt Scan reads the room names and sizes for you. You check the list, then import the rooms in one go instead of typing each one.
How to use it
- On 2 · Add Rooms, press 📷 Sketch / Photo / PDF at the top of the form (or 📷 Import from Sketch or Photo in the AI Floor Plan Import card).
- Tap the upload area and take a photo or choose one from your device. A preview appears.
- Set Dimension units on sketch if the plan is not in metres: Feet & inches, Centimetres or Millimetres. Auto-detect from sketch is the default.
- Press 🔍 Scan with PlanIt Scan and wait a few seconds.
- Check each room it found. Adjust any name or size, and untick rooms you do not want.
- Press ✅ Import Rooms into Project. If it missed something, press ↻ Re-scan first.
