Do a site survey with photos

What does this do?

The Site Survey page is where you photograph the existing floor, subfloor, doorways, stairs and access before measuring. Every photo links to the quote and follows it into the job, and you can print a summary PDF.

How to use it

  1. On 1 · Customer Details, add the customer's name so a quote reference is allocated, then press 🔍 Open Site Survey.
  2. Under Link photos to a room, tap 🏠 Whole property or the room the photos are of. Rooms you have added in step 2 appear here as chips.
  3. Under Survey photos, find the right panel: Existing flooring, Subfloor condition, Doorways, Stairs, Damage, Moisture issues, Site access or Furniture layout.
  4. Press Take a photo to use the camera, or Upload a photo to pick from your library. You can add several at once.
  5. Check ⚡ Quote intelligence under the photos. It flags things like stairs, subfloor prep, door bars and access based on the rooms and photos so far.
  6. Press 📄 Survey summary PDF to save a summary of the survey with the photos.

Before and after photos sit with the quote and the CRM job. With the customer's consent ticked they also go into the Marketing Library, ready to share as a before/after post.

Add a room by typing its measurements

Every estimate is built from rooms. Type a room's name, length and width, choose its flooring type and add it to the project. The optimiser, cutting plan and quote all come from this list.

Add plywood, latex or screed to a quote

Floor preparation is priced room by room. Turn on plywood, latex, screed, adhesive or feather finish, tick the rooms that need it, and PlanIt totals the area (and the sheet count for plywood) and adds a line to the customer quote.

Book a survey or fitting date in the diary

Schedule/Diary is your surveys and fittings calendar. Drag a job that is ready onto a day to book it, or add a measure or fitting by hand, and PlanIt can send the customer the date and time.

Track a job from lead to aftercare

Every quote files itself as a job the moment you calculate it. Jobs shows them all by stage, from Lead through Quote Sent, Deposit Paid and Scheduled to Completed and Aftercare, with the quote versions, documents and full history behind each one.
