PlanIt Estimating · Adding Rooms & Measurements
Choose a room shape (L-shape, corridor, landing, irregular)
What does this do?
The Shape box tells PlanIt how the room is laid out so the roll optimiser can plan the cuts. Most rooms are rectangles; L-shapes take a cut-out so the missing corner is not charged for or cut.
How to use it
- On 2 · Add Rooms, fill in the Room Name, Length and Width as normal.
- Choose a Shape: Rectangle, L-Shape, Corridor, Stair Run, Landing or Irregular.
- For L-Shape, two extra boxes appear. Enter the Cut-out Length and Cut-out Depth of the missing corner.
- For Corridor and Landing, just enter the overall length and width. They are planned as rectangles and marked as a hall or landing on the cutting plan.
- For Irregular, enter the longest length and widest width. PlanIt plans the room as that rectangle, so allow for the extra with the room's Waste Allowance (%).
- Press ➕ Add Room to Project.
