Import a product CSV

What does this do?

Import a CSV exported from PlanIt EPOS to use as your product catalogue in the estimator. It is the fallback for when you would rather not pull live from the till, and works the same once loaded.

How to use it

  1. In PlanIt EPOS, export your product list as a CSV. The file must have Product Name and SKU columns.
  2. In Estimating, go to step 3 · Products & Pricing.
  3. In the 📦 EPOS Catalogue bar, press ⬆ Import product CSV and choose the file.
  4. A message confirms how many products were imported.
  5. On each flooring type's tab, press 📋 Pick from EPOS catalogue to use them.

Set the product and prices for each flooring type

Step 3 is where the job gets its money. Every flooring type used on the job has a tab with the product name, your cost, the customer price and the fitting rates. The quote, cutting plan and profit check all read from here.

Add door bars and other accessories to a quote

Accessories are the extra bits charged as their own quote lines. Door bars are priced each with a quantity; adhesive, plywood and other floor preparation are added on the Floor Preparation tab for just the rooms that need them.

Add gripper rod and work out how much you need

Gripper is priced per metre and can be worked out from the rooms for you. PlanIt measures the perimeter of each carpet and matting room, takes off the doorways, and counts two strips per step on stairs.
