Pick a product from your EPOS catalogue

What does this do?

If you also run PlanIt EPOS, the estimator reads your till's product list live. Pick a product and its name, cost and selling price fill in, with chips showing roll widths and stock. EPOS is the master, so keep prices right on the till and they flow through.

How to use it

  1. Sign in and go to step 3 · Products & Pricing.
  2. In the 📦 EPOS Catalogue bar above the tabs, press ⟳ Refresh from your till. The bar shows how many products loaded.
  3. Open the flooring type's tab and press 📋 Pick from EPOS catalogue.
  4. Search by name, supplier, manufacturer or SKU. Tick show all types if the product is filed under a different type on the till.
  5. Choose the product. The Product Name, Cost price and Retail price fill in, and chips show the roll widths, stock and cost.
  6. Leave 🔒 locked to catalogue price ticked to keep the prices as the till has them, or untick it to change them for this job.
  7. To swap back to typing, press ✕ on the product badge to unlink it.

Set the product and prices for each flooring type

Step 3 is where the job gets its money. Every flooring type used on the job has a tab with the product name, your cost, the customer price and the fitting rates. The quote, cutting plan and profit check all read from here.

Choose the roll width (auto or forced)

Roll goods (carpet, sheet vinyl, safety flooring and sheet LVT) are planned from a roll. By default PlanIt tries every width and picks the one with least waste. If the product only comes in one width, force it so the plan matches what you can actually buy.

Add or edit a product

Products are what the till sells. Add each one with its supplier, cost and margins and it appears in the product search on the till, on quotes and in stock. Edit it any time from the Product database.

Each product carries the cost you pay and two margins. The till turns them into a trade selling price and a retail selling price, so the right price comes up depending on who is buying.

Sync a quote to your EPOS till

Sync to EPOS sends the finished quote into your PlanIt EPOS till with the same quote number and customer, so you can send, accept, take the deposit and convert it to an invoice from the till without typing anything twice. For accounts that run both apps.
