Export and import products as a CSV

What does this do?

Export gives you the whole catalogue as a CSV to open in Excel. Import brings a CSV back in through the same preview as a price list, so you can update many products in one go.

How to use it

  1. Open the ☰ menu and choose Products.
  2. Press Export CSV to download the catalogue.
  3. To bring a file back in, press Import CSV and choose it. The till opens Price sheet import with your file loaded.
  4. Check the column dropdowns, choose an Update method such as Update existing by SKU / code, and review the Import preview.
  5. Press Confirm import.

Import a product CSV

Import a CSV exported from PlanIt EPOS to use as your product catalogue in the estimator. It is the fallback for when you would rather not pull live from the till, and works the same once loaded.

Add or edit a product

Products are what the till sells. Add each one with its supplier, cost and margins and it appears in the product search on the till, on quotes and in stock. Edit it any time from the Product database.

Add colours or decors to a product

Supplier price lists price the range, not the shade. When you hold one product in several colours, list them on the product and the till counts each colour separately, asks which one arrived on a delivery and which one was sold.
