PlanIt Estimating · Adding Rooms & Measurements

Continue an older estimate as a new quote

What does this do?

Estimates quoted before per-product pricing arrived stay exactly as they were priced, so reopening one still totals what the customer was told. Continue as a new quote copies its rooms and prices onto a fresh quote number where you can change things and add a second product.

How to use it

  1. Open the older estimate from Estimates or Home → Recent Quotes.
  2. Go to 2 · Add Rooms and scroll to Products on this job. A note explains the estimate is locked as originally priced.
  3. Press ⧉ Continue as a new quote and confirm.
  4. Carry on editing. The same rooms and prices are now on a new quote, and + Another Carpet is available.
  5. Save or send as normal. A new quote number is allocated when it saves, and the original estimate is left untouched.
