Set the manufacturer and range on many products at once

What does this do?

Products added before manufacturer and range existed have neither. Rather than editing them one at a time, filter the list down to the ones you want and set both in one go.

How to use it

  1. Open Products.
  2. Narrow the list with the search box and the supplier and category filters — for example search *Abingdon* to find everything with Abingdon in the name.
  3. Check the list below is exactly what you want. The action applies to everything currently listed, not a selection.
  4. Tap Set manufacturer.
  5. Type the manufacturer, then the range. Leave either blank to skip it and change only the other.
  6. Confirm. The count in the message is how many products will change.

Supplier is who you buy from — often a wholesaler. Manufacturer is who actually makes it, and range is the collection. Add colours or decors to a product

Supplier price lists price the range, not the shade. When you hold one product in several colours, list them on the product and the till counts each colour separately, asks which one arrived on a delivery and which one was sold.

Add or edit a product

Products are what the till sells. Add each one with its supplier, cost and margins and it appears in the product search on the till, on quotes and in stock. Edit it any time from the Product database.

Export and import products as a CSV

Export gives you the whole catalogue as a CSV to open in Excel. Import brings a CSV back in through the same preview as a price list, so you can update many products in one go.

Manage your suppliers

The Suppliers screen is built from your product list: one row per supplier with a product count and average retail margin. From here you can reprice a whole supplier at once or delete one.
