Work out how much adhesive a job needs

What does this do?

The Adhesive Calculator turns the floor area of the rubber flooring rooms on a job into litres of adhesive, from the spread rate you enter. Use it to order the right amount and to know your cost.

How to use it

  1. Open Estimating, go to step 3 · Products & Pricing and press the 🏗️ Rubber tab.
  2. Scroll to 🧪 Adhesive Calculator.
  3. Enter the Spread rate (m²/litre) from the adhesive tub (3.5 is the starting figure).
  4. Enter the Adhesive cost (£/litre) if you want your cost to hand.
  5. Read Adhesive required. It shows the litres for the rubber rooms on this job and the area it covers.

Accessories are the extra bits charged as their own quote lines. Door bars are priced each with a quantity; adhesive, plywood and other floor preparation are added on the Floor Preparation tab for just the rooms that need them.

Each room has a flooring type. It decides which product and prices from Products & Pricing the room uses, whether it is planned from a roll or sold in packs, and how it is grouped on the quote.

Adding Rooms & Measurements

Charge for uplifting the old floor

Uplift & Removal adds a charge for taking up and disposing of the existing floor covering. Price it as one fixed figure or as a rate per m² of the rooms on the job; the total works itself out and the quote shows it as its own line.

Floor Preparation & Extras

Customer pays the fitter direct (subcontract fitting)

Subcontract Fitting is for jobs where the customer pays the fitter directly. The fitting price still appears on the quote so the customer sees the whole cost, but it stays out of your total, your VAT and the deposit you request.
