Add fitting labour and CIS or reverse charge to a quote

What does this do?

Fitting labour can be its own line on a full quote, and for contractor work the quote can show a CIS deduction or the VAT reverse charge so the amount payable is right.

How to use it

  1. Open a full quote (+ New full quote or Edit quote).
  2. Press + Fitting labour to add a labour line. Where a reduced rate applies the button reads + Fitting labour (13.5%) and the line is taxed at that rate.
  3. Set the Qty and Price for the labour.
  4. For a contractor job press the blue CIS button and answer Is this job subject to CIS? and Does the VAT Domestic Reverse Charge apply to this job?
  5. Choose the CIS deduction rate. The quote then shows the deduction and the Amount payable.
  6. Press Save quote. The same treatment carries through when you raise the invoice.
