Add a new customer

What does this do?

New customer saves someone to the book before you have sold to them, so their details are ready to drop onto a sale or quote later.

How to use it

  1. From the ☰ menu choose CRM and press + New customer.
  2. Type the Name (required), Billing address, Email and Phone. Several email addresses can be separated with commas.
  3. Add any Notes the shop should know.
  4. If they are a contractor who deducts CIS, tick CIS customer, then set their Normal VAT treatment, CIS deduction rate and CIS notes.
  5. Press Save, or Use in current sale to save them and put them straight on the till.

Use in current sale drops a saved customer's name, phone, email and address into Customer & job details on the till, so a repeat customer never has to be typed twice.

Add a note or follow-up to a customer

Notes keep a dated record of what was said. Follow-ups are the same but with a due date, and they show up on the till the day they are due so nobody forgets to ring back.
