Set your country, currency and tax name
What does this do?
Country & region sets the currency symbol, the tax name and the number formats across the whole till in one go. An Irish shop, for example, gets VAT at Irish rates and prices in EUR. Changing it relabels money; it never converts it.
How to use it
- From the ☰ menu choose Settings and find Country & region.
- Choose your Country. The Applied box shows the tax name, standard rate and currency it brings.
- Only if you need to, override Tax name or Currency code (for a business that trades in a different currency from its country).
- Check Default VAT rate % above. The national standard rate lands there; change it if your rate is different.
- Press Save settings.
