Set a credit limit on an account

What does this do?

A credit limit caps how much an account can owe. If a new account sale would take the balance over the limit the till stops and asks before it goes through.

How to use it

  1. From the ☰ menu choose Accounts and tap the account.
  2. Type the amount in Credit limit. 0 means no limit.
  3. Press Save changes.
  4. The account now shows Credit limit / available inside, and OVER in the list if it goes past the limit.
  5. At the till, a sale that would go over prompts Over credit limit: press the Override button to put it through anyway, or Cancel sale.

Reports shows sales, cost and profit for any period, broken down by product, supplier, category, operative, payment method and customer type, with a list of ready-made tables you can print or export. It is for the owner: only a Super Admin can open it.

Delete a trade account

Delete account removes the account record for good. Only a Super Admin can do it, and only once the account owes nothing. Past sales stay in History and reports.
