Start a new estimate for the next customer

What does this do?

New Estimate clears the workspace (rooms, customer details and quote) so the next quote starts clean. The estimate you were working on is already saved and stays in Estimates.

How to use it

  1. From the sidebar press ＋ New Estimate (on Home or an empty Estimates list it reads ＋ Start a new estimate).
  2. If you were mid-way through another estimate, PlanIt asks Start a new estimate? This clears the current rooms, customer details and quote. Press OK.
  3. You land on step 1 · Customer Details with a fresh quote reference. Work through the seven steps as usual.
  4. To get back to the previous quote later, open Estimates and press Continue.

New Estimate takes you through seven numbered steps from the customer's name to the sent quote. Each step saves as you go, so you can stop in a customer's hallway and carry on later.

Send a Quick Quote (agreed price, no measuring)

A Quick Quote is one description and one agreed price, sent in under a minute. Use it when you have already agreed a figure with the customer and do not need a measured estimate behind it.

Enter the customer's details (step 1)

Step 1 records who the job is for and where it is. These details flow straight into the quote, the PDF, the customer email and the CRM record, and they save as you type.

Customers & Job Details

Auto-save and syncing between devices

There is no save button for an estimate. Everything you type is saved on the device as you go and sent to your account in the background, so the same job appears on your phone, tablet and shop computer.

Getting Started

Book a survey or fitting date in the diary

Schedule/Diary is your surveys and fittings calendar. Drag a job that is ready onto a day to book it, or add a measure or fitting by hand, and PlanIt can send the customer the date and time.
