Add your own standard quote wording

What does this do?

Standard messages are ready-made lines such as 'To supply and install the flooring to the agreed areas' that you tick onto a Manual Quote or Quick Quote. Add your own once and it is offered on every quote after that.

How to use it

  1. On step 5 · Customer Quote press 📝 Manual Quote (or start a ⚡ Quick Quote from Home).
  2. Under Quote description, tap any of the built-in messages you want. They cover supply and install, uplift, subfloor prep and access.
  3. Press ＋ Add your own standard message.
  4. Type the wording exactly as the customer should read it and press Save message.
  5. It appears with the others. Tap it to add it to this quote and it stays available for next time.

A Manual Quote replaces the itemised breakdown with one agreed line and a price. You build the wording from tick-on standard messages, type the price, add a deposit and any notes, and that is what the customer sees. Your detailed estimate stays underneath for Profit Check.

A Quick Quote is one description and one agreed price, sent in under a minute. Use it when you have already agreed a figure with the customer and do not need a measured estimate behind it.

The Quote Email Template is the subject and message PlanIt pre-fills every time you press Send Email. Write it once with placeholders and every quote goes out with your wording and the right customer details.

Use standard messages on a quote and add your own

Standard messages are ready-made lines you tap to build a quote's description, such as what is included or who moves the furniture. Add your own once and it is on every till.

Ask for a deposit on a quote

A deposit on the quote shows the customer what to pay up front and what is left on completion. Choose a percentage or a fixed amount. On a detailed quote it is set in Payment & Deposit Settings; on a manual quote you type it in the manual quote itself.

Customer Quotes

Close a quote or go back to the detailed quote

Return to Detailed Quote switches a manual quote back to the full itemised breakdown; the agreed price and description come off the customer copy. Close Quote just closes the quote window when you are viewing a job; nothing is deleted and everything stays saved.
