See and print the cutting plan (cut list)

What does this do?

The cutting plan is the picture of the roll with every cut drawn on it, plus the cut list in the order the fitter should work. It comes straight from Calculate All Rooms, so it always matches the quote.

How to use it

  1. Go to step 4 · Calculate Quote and press ▶ Calculate All Rooms.
  2. Scroll to Visual Roll Plan — Selected Width to see the roll drawn with each room's cut on it. Press a width button to view another roll width.
  3. Below it, Cut List — In Order lists every cut with its length, width, any pattern-repeat allowance and whether it is an OFFCUT.
  4. For a print-ready copy press 📋 Fitter Sheet. It carries the Roll Plan — Visual Cut Diagram and the Cut Sequence.
  5. Press 🖨 Print Fitter Sheet, or 💾 Save as PDF to send it to the fitter.

Use offcuts and nest small rooms

Nesting puts two or more rooms side by side across one roll width so one length covers both. Offcut Opportunities lists rooms that fit inside the overhang left by other cuts. Both save material, and both are shown so you and the fitter can see exactly where each piece comes from.

Roll Width Comparison shows every available roll width for the job with its linear metres, waste percentage and number of seams, so you can see why PlanIt picked one width and check the alternative before you order.

Two carpets (or two vinyls) on one job

One job can have more than one product of the same type, for example a Saxony in the lounge and a twist on the stairs. Each product has its own price, fitting rate, waste and underlay, is planned on its own roll, and is named on the quote, cutting plan and fitter sheet.

Adding Rooms & Measurements

Force a roll width (only 4m in stock)

Manual Overrides let you tell the optimiser which roll width to use when the supplier only stocks one, or when you want to see the plan on a specific width. Re-calculate and every figure, the cut list and the fitter sheet follow the width you chose.
