Switch to Commercial Mode for tenders

What does this do?

Commercial Mode adds Tenders to the sidebar so you can price several options for one contract. It sits alongside normal residential estimating and switching back never deletes anything.

How to use it

  1. Open Home.
  2. At the top, press Commercial on the Residential / Commercial switch.
  3. PlanIt confirms that tenders, multi-option pricing and value engineering are on, and opens Tenders.
  4. Tenders now appears in the sidebar. Open it any time to see your tenders or start one.
  5. To go back, press Residential. The commercial tools are hidden and nothing is deleted.

A tender is one project priced several ways. Option A is your baseline; every option after it is a separate estimate with its own rooms, products and pricing, so you can offer the contractor a compliant price and cheaper or better alternatives.

Find your way around the Home screen

Home is the screen you land on after signing in. It shows what is booked today, the estimates you were part-way through, today's numbers and your recent quotes, with the two ways to start a new one at the top.

Getting Started

Upgrade, change or cancel your plan

Plans are changed from the pricing page and confirmed inside the app. Moving between plans changes your existing subscription, with the difference worked out for you on the next invoice; there is no new account and nothing to set up twice.

Check profit per option and pick the winner

The Profit check page is for your eyes only. It lists sell, cost, profit and margin for every option, marks the best margin, and shows the differences against the baseline. It has no client view and is never included in a tender document.
