Apply a discount to a quote

This guide is awaiting review — the steps may change.

What does this do?

Take a percentage or a set amount off the whole quote, or off one line. The quote shows the full value of the work and the discount underneath, so the customer can see the saving.

How to use it

  1. Go to step 5 and the Customer Quote and press % Apply Discount.
  2. Choose Percentage or Fixed amount, type the figure or press a quick pick, and add a reason if you want one recorded.
  3. Check the figures in the box — it shows the subtotal, the discount and the new total before you commit.
  4. Press Apply. The quote now shows Subtotal, the discount as its own line, then the net, tax and total.
  5. To discount one line only, hover that line on the quote and press the % button on the right of it.
  6. To take a discount off again, press ✓ Discount applied and then Remove discount.
