Send sales to Xero

What does this do?

The till writes a CSV in Xero's own sales-invoice import layout, so it imports without editing. Export one document at a time, or the whole period in one file.

How to use it

  1. For one document: open the sale or invoice from History or Invoices and press Xero CSV. This is offered on completed sales and invoices, not on quotes, credit notes or voided documents.
  2. For a whole period: from the ☰ menu choose Reports, set the period, and under Report: choose Xero invoice export.
  3. Press Export CSV. The column headings are Xero's import headings.
  4. In Xero go to Business → Invoices → Import and choose the file.
  5. Check the preview in Xero and complete the import.

Export a quote to Xero

Export to Xero downloads the quote as a CSV file in Xero's sales invoice format, one line per item with the tax code set for you. Import it in Xero and the invoice is there without re-typing.

Raise an invoice

An invoice is raised either from an accepted quote or straight from the Invoices screen when there was no quote. It gets a number, a due date and appears in the Invoices list so you can see what is paid and what is owed.

Cash up at the end of the day

Cash Up tracks the drawer from the morning float to the evening count. It knows every cash payment and cash refund the till took, plus any cash you put in or took out, and tells you what should be in the drawer so the variance is obvious.
