Export sales to a spreadsheet (CSV)

What does this do?

Any report table can be downloaded as a CSV file that opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. Set the period and filters first; the file contains exactly what is on screen.

How to use it

  1. From the ☰ menu choose Reports (Super Admin only).
  2. Choose the period and any filters. The export follows them.
  3. Under Report: pick the table you want, for example Daily sales, Sales by product, Transaction list (view detail), VAT summary or CIS & reverse charge.
  4. Press Export CSV. The file downloads to this device.
  5. Open it in your spreadsheet program, or attach it to an email to your accountant.

Export and import products as a CSV

Export gives you the whole catalogue as a CSV to open in Excel. Import brings a CSV back in through the same preview as a price list, so you can update many products in one go.

Mark a sale as CIS or VAT reverse charge

For construction-industry customers the sale can be marked as a CIS job, with the VAT reverse charge and a CIS deduction on the labour, so the document carries the right HMRC wording and the right amount payable.

Cash up at the end of the day

Cash Up tracks the drawer from the morning float to the evening count. It knows every cash payment and cash refund the till took, plus any cash you put in or took out, and tells you what should be in the drawer so the variance is obvious.
