Book a survey or fitting

What does this do?

Add to diary books a survey or a fitting by hand, with a date, a time slot and a fitting team. Use it for jobs that did not come through the till, such as a measure before you have quoted.

How to use it

  1. From the ☰ menu choose Diary, then press Add to diary.
  2. Choose the Type: Survey / measure or Fitting.
  3. Set the date under When, then pick a slot: No time, Morning (8–12), Afternoon (12–4), All day or Specific time….
  4. Type the Customer name, Phone and Email.
  5. Add the Fitter / surveyor and, for a fitting, choose a Fitting team (or leave No team).
  6. Fill in the Address and any Notes the fitter needs.
  7. Tick Email the customer their appointment if you want them to get a confirmation.
  8. Press Add to diary. The booking appears on the calendar and in Next 14 days.

Fitting teams are your crews. Each team gets its own colour, and every fitting booked to that team shows in that colour on the Diary and the fitting calendar, so you can see who is out where.

Customer & job details record who the sale is for, what the job is and when it is needed. A fitting date puts the job straight in the Diary; flooring with no date waits in Customer Orders.

Flooring often sells before the customer knows when they want it fitted. When they ring back with a date, book it straight onto the original sale. It goes into the Diary and Customer Orders, and you can email the customer the appointment.

When flooring was sold without a fitting date and the customer rings back with one, you can book it straight onto the original sale. The booking goes in the Diary and Customer Orders and can email the customer their appointment.

Copy details puts the booking's customer, address, date, slot and notes on the clipboard in one go, ready to paste into a text or WhatsApp to the fitter.
