PlanIt Estimating · Profit Check
Try what-if prices without changing the quote
What does this do?
The What-If tab lets you play with material and labour rates, waste and area and see the projected profit straight away. Nothing you type here changes the real quote.
How to use it
- Open step 6 · Profit Check and press the 🎛 What-If tab.
- Read the Job Summary first: total floor area, revenue, cost and profit per m², and the estimated labour days and install hours.
- Under 🎛 Adjust Assumptions, change any of Material Selling Price, Labour Selling Price, Material Cost Price, Labour Cost, Waste Allowance (%) or Total Area (m²).
- Watch 📊 Projected Outcome update: Projected Revenue, Projected Total Cost, Gross Profit (£), Gross Profit (%), Material Margin and Labour Margin.
- When you find a price that works, go back to step 3 · Products & Pricing and change the real rates there.
- Press 🔄 Refresh from Quote to reset the What-If figures to the live quote.
