PART 1 · SET UP ONCE

Create your account and confirm your email
Sign up at app.planitflooring.com, then click the confirmation link we email you — you can't sign in until you do.
If it hasn't arrived in a couple of minutes, check your junk or spam folder.
One PlanIt login works across all our apps, so use the email address you want the business to run on.

|
Put your name on it
Go to Settings → Company Info. Add your company name, contact details, logo and brand colours —
they appear on every quote your customers see.
Remember to press Save — changes don't apply until you do.

|
Choose your units and region
Still in Settings: pick metric or imperial (imperial happily accepts 12'6", 12ft 6in, or just a number of feet),
and set your country — that sets your currency and tax name and rate in one go.

|
Set your standard rates
Enter your usual prices for floor prep (plywood, latex, screed and the rest) in Settings, and your usual
fitting and material rates on your first estimate — PlanIt remembers them and brings them back on every
new job, for everyone in your company. You can still change any rate on any individual job.

|
Add your payment details
In Settings → Payments, add your bank details (UK sort code and account number, or IBAN/BIC)
and connect Stripe if you'd like customers to pay deposits online by card. Once this is set, you can request a
deposit on any quote and the customer pays without needing an account or a login.

PART 2 · YOUR FIRST ESTIMATE
From Home, press New Estimate. The seven steps walk you through in order and tick themselves off
as you go — and everything auto-saves as you type, so you can stop and come back any time.
| 1. | Customer details — name, contact, address. A quote reference is created for you. |
| 2. | Add rooms — type the dimensions, speak them, or photograph a sketch or floor plan and let the AI read it. Stairs, L‑shapes, corridors and landings are all built in. |
| 3. | Products & pricing — the product, roll width, waste allowance, your cost and selling rates, underlay, gripper, and any floor prep for the rooms that need it. |
| 4. | Calculate — the roll optimiser works out the best roll width and least waste, and produces your cutting plan and fitter sheet. |
| 5. | Customer quote — a full breakdown, or a Manual Quote with one agreed line and a price. Add a deposit and your standard messages. |
| 6. | Profit check — for your eyes only: cost, selling price, margin. |
| 7. | Send — PDF, email or WhatsApp. The customer opens a secure link, accepts online and pays the deposit — and you get a notification the moment they do. |

In a hurry? Quick Quote on the Home screen skips the measuring entirely — one agreed price, sent in under a minute.
WORTH KNOWING
| Install it as an app. On your phone or tablet, choose “Add to Home Screen” (or “Install” in the browser menu). It then works fully offline — measure in a house with no signal and it syncs when you're back. |
| Every quote becomes a job. The Jobs screen tracks each one from lead to aftercare, and Schedule is your survey and fitting diary — drag an unscheduled job onto a day. |
